A student contest that’s truly for the books — students’ book collections, that is

books

By John Brian Pierce ’13

Are you a student with enough books to fill the first floor of Leatherby Libraries? Ever jam an IKEA bookshelf between your radiator and your bed, despite the disapproval of your roommates? Then we have a contest for you.

Consider entering your treasures in the John and Margaret Class Student Book Collection Contest sponsored by Leatherby Libraries.  Whether it’s all of Kurt Vonnegut’s classics, or a collection of E.E. Cummings and other 20th century poets, Leatherby Libraries will consider any and all collections from Chapman University undergraduate and graduate students. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 15, by 5 p.m. All the details are available at the John and Margaret Class Student Book Collection contest website.

The John and Margaret Class Student Book Collection Contest was established by Margaret Class in memory of her husband, John, to inspire students to create their own personal libraries and book collections and to take joy in the printed word.
