The great Homecoming trade-up T-shirt project was a huge success, according to the folks at Agora Gift Shop and the Student Government Association.   Some 400 students traded in shirts from other universities — how they got here we’re not askin’ —  for a spiffy new Chapman University shirt.

But where did all those cast offs land? Well, they’re still functional and Panther Pride being what it is, the gift shop and students chose to donate them to The Friendly Center, a non-profit family and community resource center with centers in Orange, Placentia and Garden Grove. The shirts will be distributed to the center’s school age clients and serve as subtle reminders for them to think about their own college futures, says Cathy Seelig, executive director of The Friendly Center. So it’s all good.
