Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance offers low-cost personal finance course

Want to organize your financial affairs, achieve your financial goals, and secure a sound financial future?  The Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance at Chapman University is offering a three-week seminar on personal financial management.

The course starts with the basics and no prior knowledge of finance is assumed. The course will be taught by Kelly Rogers, an adjunct faculty member from the Argyros School of Business and certified financial educator. The fee for Chapman students, faculty and staff is only $25. The public may enroll for $50.

Topics will include:

  • Budgeting
  • Banking
  • Borrowing
  • Savings
  • Renters Rights and Home Buying
  • Car Buying or Leasing
  • Insurance and Retirement
  • Investment Fundamentals

The program fee will include all materials.  There will be no sales pitches for additional products.  Certified Financial Educator and Chapman University faculty Kelly Rogers will be teaching the class. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Beckman Hall, Room 401.
