Big Orange Book Festival to feature legal eagle authors at Chapman Law booth


Chapman University School of Law
has scheduled a variety of lawyer authors for informal visits and talks at its booth during the
Big Orange Book Festival
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22, including Tom Campbell, dean of the law school. Most of the authors will also have their books available for purchase and signing at the booth.

Law professor Michael Bazyler, author of ‘Holocaust Justice,” will be among the authors at the Big Orange Book Festival.


The scheduled authors include:

  • Michael Bazyler, professor at Chapman Law, author of Holocaust Justice: The Battle for Restitution in America’s Courts, Friday, 1 to 2 p.m.
  • The Hon. James Rogan, California Superior Court Judge and former Congressman, author of Catching Our Flag: Behind the Scenes of a Presidential Impeachment, Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m.
  • Richard Redding, associate dean at Chapman Law, author of The Politically Correct University: Problems, Scope, and Reforms, Saturday, 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Tom Campbell, Ph.D., dean of Chapman Law, author of Separation of Powers in Practice, Saturday, 2 to 3 p.m.


Chapman Law booth will be in the Exhibitors area on the Bert C. Williams Lawn in front of Memorial Hall.

The Big Orange Book Festival brings together writers and readers, poets and playwrights and film makers and film buffs for two days of literary and storytelling enjoyment. Alice Sebold, author of the award-winning
The Lovely Bones
, will be among the headliners. The two-day festival will feature free talks and panels by acclaimed authors and literary figures from Orange County, Southern California and around the world.

In addition to Sebold, other headliners include Sapphire, author of
Push
, the novel that inspired the film
Precious
, actress Mary Badham, who at age 10 starred alongside Gregory Peck in the classic movie
To Kill a Mockingbird
, and Lizz Winstead, co-creator and head writer of
The Daily Show
and author of the memoir
Lizz Free or Die
.
