Professor Grace Fong and students experience a summer of music at Schlern Festival

Grace Fong, DMA, director of keyboard studies at Chapman University’s Conservatory of Music, served as faculty and performer at various music festivals this summer, including the Innsbrook Institute of Music and the Missouri River Arts Festival. Fong performed a series of recitals and concerts and served as concerto soloist with the Missouri River Arts Festival Orchestra.

Fong was also faculty and performer at the Schlern International Music Festival in Italy, and was accompanied by six of the conservatory’s piano students selected to participate in the intensive three-week festival. The students performed, attended master classes and attended concerts of the renowned faculty, which included Vladimir Chernov, Vladimir Landsman and Sergey Khachatryan, among others. The students also visited the home of Mozart in Salzburg, Austria.
