Faculty, student artwork in exhibitions around Southern California this summer

Chapman University Department of Art faculty and students are participating in a variety of exhibitions around Southern California this summer.

Lia Halloran, assistant professor, is curating a show titled “Gestalt” that opened last week at the Advocate and Gochis Galleries at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center at Ed Gould Plaza,  and which features artwork by Andy Macasil ’13 and Kellan Shanahan ‘13. The gallery is located at 1125 N. McCadden Pl., Los Angeles. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 6 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The entire “75 Pictures of a Lost Dog” series by Stephen Berens, assistant professor, will be included in “Analog Digital 2012,” an exhibition that opens with a public reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, 14321 Yale Ave., Irvine. The show continues through July 14. Hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
