The Center for Global Education’s Kristy Beavers, associate director and ISEP coordinator, and Jodi Ebner, overseas program manager, will attend the annual weeklong conference of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, beginning Monday, May 27, in Houston.
NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education. The conference will bring together 8,000 professionals from 120 countries.
“This conference gives us resources to further our involvement and understanding of the field. Additionally, it allows us the chance to meet with our international partners and expand our network of viable study abroad programs for Chapman students,” said Beavers.
Throughout theconference, Beavers and Ebner will participate in workshops, round-table discussions, and seminars focused on management development, education abroad, program assessment and international education research.
“This is a great educational opportunity to learn about new practices and advancements in the field to improve current programming and help students go abroad,” Ebner said.
