Online voting could send film student to Africa for Chegg-sponsored internship

A Chapman University film student has been named one of 50 finalists in the competition for a Chegg for Good & ONE summer internship in Africa. Now all Brendan Nahmias needs to land the internship is a blast of Panther help via online fan voting.

Nahmias was among just 50 students selected from an original applicant pool of 1,550 who applied for the Chegg-sponsored internship. To become one of the final eight interns, Nahmias now needs to win the public voting round, which continues until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. In his application video Nahmias explains how he would use filmmaking to help advance a variety of needs in Africa, from public awareness to education. The video can be seen and votes may be cast at the Chegg for Good and ONE Facebook page.

ONE is a grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Chegg for Good is the non-profit outreach arm of the textbook rental company Chegg.
