Off the starter blocks, Chapman women’s track opens strong

The Chapman University women’s track and field team began the 2012 season at the Caltech All Comers meet on Saturday with encouraging results from some returning and new athletes alike. Junior
Peyton Collins
kicked off the season with a pair of first place finishes in the 100 meters and the 300-meter hurdles. In fact, in the 100 meters, Chapman finished 1-2-3 in the event with Collins (13.96) capturing first. Sophomore
Rose Fruci
(14.31) placed second and freshman
Jasmyn Domingues
(14.40) took third in the sprint.
