Kyndra Rotunda, professor and director of the Chapman University Military Law Institute and its associated AMVETS Legal Clinic, published a commentary regarding an Air Force plan to force early retirements and trim officers’ retirement benefits. It appears in the Dec. 28 issue of The Wall Street Journal.
“While budget constraints affect the entire Department of Defense, the other services have found other ways to pinch pennies,” Professor Rotunda writes. The opinion piece was co-authored by Joshua Flynn-Brown, a clinical fellow in the Chapman University AMVETS Legal Clinic.
Professor Rotunda is providing legal representation to several officers affected by the budgetary action. She is quoted in a story about the case in Battleland, a military blog published by Time magazine.
