Jayne Kacer named new associate dean at School of Law


Jayne Kacer, assistant dean of student and alumni affairs and adjunct professor at the School of Law, will become the law school’s new associate dean for student affairs and administration.

Professor Kacer joined Chapman University in 2004, when she created the academic achievement and bar prep programs. The new appointment takes efffect Jan. 1.

“The programs Jayne created have blossomed into a key part of our education mission, as evidenced by our most recent excellent results on the
California bar exam
,” said Tom Campbell, dean of the School of Law.

Dean Campbell also praised Daniel Bogart, associate dean for administration, director of the Center for Land Resources and the Donley and Marjorie Bollinger Chair in Real Estate Law, for stepping in until the new position could be filled.

“I would like to extend my utmost appreciation to Danny Bogart for his hard work and dedication as associate dean for administration since June of 2010.  I would also like to extend a special thanks to Danny for staying on as associate dean for an additional semester this year until we solidified our plans regarding this important new position. Jayne’s new role will include the administrative functions I envisioned for this position, while continuing her important work with students and alumni,” said Dean Campbell said.

Professor Kacer is a former partner with Rutan and Tucker, where she handled business litigation.
