Dance major Chloe Albin ’15 strikes a Cirque du Soleil pose.
It’s been a circus out there on campus today, although you’d hardly know it.
More than one thousand student participants from Chapman University and surrounding colleges and universities have been busy in classrooms, conference rooms and stages busily learning the art, craft and technology behind the magic of Cirque du Soleil. The Cirque du Soleil Entertainment and Technology Symposium directed by Chapman Professor Alicia Okouchi-Guy, Department of Dance, and Professor Don Guy, head of entertainment technology, is a unique three-day symposium continuing through tomorrow on campus.
And everyone’s invited to enjoy the magic in Attallah Piazza at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, Oct. 22, when free screenings of Cirque du Soleil documentaries will get underway. There’ll also be plenty of free snow cones, popcorn and other circus treats.
Good for you Cloe!
