Beat the heat with summer concerts

If you were at Friday’s concert, you know there was some dancing, food and fun filling the Attallah Piazza as Alter Ego entertained the crowd that came out for Chapman University’s second Free Family Friendly Summer Concert. (See slide show)

And if you missed it, don’t fret. There are still two concerts this summer. Southland Mega Groove will perform a tribute to California music this Friday, Aug. 12, and the ever-popular Alley Cats close the series Aug. 19.

As always, picnics, lawn chairs and blankets (but no grills!) are welcome, and free parking will be available in the Lastinger Parking Structure. The campus opens for picnicking at 4:30 p.m. on concert days, and all concerts kick off at 5:30 p.m.

It’s informal, fun and always a party. Hope to see you at the next one! For more details, visit the concert website.
