Professor Sparks' TEDx talk available on YouTube

Now available on YouTube is a video of Lisa Sparks, Ph.D., professor and presidential research fellow of health and risk communication at Chapman University, delivering an excellent talk about health risk messages and decision-making at the recent “Innovation Without Borders TEDxOrangeCoast” conference.

Dr. Sparks serves as director of graduate studies for the Master of Science in Health Communication program in the Schmid College of Science and Technology. In addition to her research and teaching, Dr. Sparks works with the entertainment industry to assure that television and movie scripts are accurate when depicting diseases and conditions.

The day-long conference at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall attracted hundreds of attendees to hear a roster of some 20 speakers who are innovators and leaders in their fields. To learn more about the event, visit the TEDxOrangeCoast website.
