On March 31, Deepak Chopra, M.D., the spiritual philosopher, international bestselling author and wellness expert,

“The Nature of Reality” panel will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in the Folino Theater in Marion Knott Studios. The discussion will be moderated by Chancellor Daniele Struppa and ask the experts to consider the questions, “Is there an ultimate reality?” and, if so, “Can it be accounted for by science such as mathematics, biology and physics?”
In addition to Chopra and Shermer, other experts on the panel will include Menas Kafatos, Ph.D., dean of Schmid College and Fletcher Jones Endowed Professor of Computational Physics; Stuart Hameroff, M.D., emeritus professor of anesthesiology and psychology at the University of Arizona and well-known expert on consciousness; Leonard Mlodinow, Ph.D., Caltech physicist and co-author with Stephen Hawking of
The Grand Design

It’s sure to be a great and mind-expanding conversation that will probably raise more amazing questions than it answers, so mark your calendar and don’t miss it. The event is presented by the Schmid College of Science, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Office of the Chancellor.
