space-of-memory
This Friday (perhaps as you make your way to the
Anniversary Celebration
) be ready to spread some of that trademark Chapman friendliness as The Rodgers Center rolls out the welcome mat for hundreds of middle and high school students expected to arrive on campus at 9 a..m. for the center’s 12th Annual Holocaust Art and Writing Contest Awards Ceremony.

A record number of 111 schools from throughout California participated in this year’s contest, supported by a grant from the Samueli Foundation and a gift from Yossie and Dana Hollander.  Guest speaker will be Idele Stapholz, a Holocaust survivor and Kristallnacht witness.

The students will spend most of their day near Memorial Hall and the Bert Williams Mall, so be sure to say hello if you’re passing through.
