Homecoming and Family Weekend at Chapman University isn’t just about football and the traditional autumn visit to the old alma mater. It’s also a family event at Chapman. Joining the fun this weekend were more than 450 families from 27 states and 4 foreign countries.

That was a record number of family members in attendance, say the folks in University Advancement who plan and organized the special events geared to parents. Among the activities were three sessions of “Parents Go to Class,” a President’s Reception, the Chancellor’s Breakfast and Parents Meeting sponsored by the Parents Council and  “Dialogue with the Deans,” which featured talks and Q&As with the deans from each of the six colleges.

And just to show the kids how it’s done, the parent team took the top award at Saturday’s Chapman Chili Cook-Off!
