We come in peace to warn you: Aliens, a robot named “Gort” and their wonderfully cheesy spaceship that somehow survives intergalactic travel will fill the big screen tonight when the 1951 sci-fi classic “The Day the Earth Stood” screens at 8 p.m. in Attallah Piazza.
The screening is part of “Jim, Jerry and Marla’s Black and White Film Festival.” If you haven’t been to one of these evenings yet, you’re missing some fun. The sound and screen system are terrific. And as always there’s free admission, lemonade and movie candy. See you there!
