PIXAR art director to give lecture at Dodge College this week

The animation artist behind

Toy Story

WALL-E

Up

Finding Nemo
and
Monsters, Inc
., will be the guest lecturer at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Dodge College of Film & Media Arts.

Ralph Eggleston, one of PIXAR’s biggest stars and one of the world’s leading animators, was hired in 1992 during the development of
Toy Story
. His work on Toy Story won him an Annie Award for Best Art Direction. He also directed the Oscar-winning short film
For the Birds
, the most popular short film in the history of ITUNES.
