Register now for Chapman 5K Run/Walk

The Annual
Chapman University Toyota of Orange 5K Run/Walk
is coming up fast.

The race is Oct. 23 and you won’t want to be left behind when the “Flattest, Fastest and ‘Funnest’ 5K in the World” takes off. The course winds through beautiful Old Towne, including neighborhoods listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and finishes at Chapman’s picturesque Ambassador George L. Argyros ’59 Global Citizens Plaza. Then runners are treated to a race tradition – President Jim Doti’s trademark “Breakfast of Champions,” featuring steel-cut oatmeal, fresh fruit, coffee and juice – as well as live music, Chapman’s famously overstuffed goody bags, technical race shirts and stylish commemorative medals. Lockers and showers will even be available. The first 1,000 registered entrants will be entered into a raffle for free running gear from The Running Lab in Old Towne Orange. Participants will just need to bring their race bib into The Running Lab to enter the drawing.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each division. And there’s a division for everyone – from 13 and under to 80 and older! Registration is $40 through Oct. 20 and then $45 until race day. All proceeds from the race benefit the Chapman Scholarship Fund. Visit the race website at
