Lucky David Moore, director of development for planned giving in University Advancement. He went to Hawaii and already dashed out his What I Did on My Summer Vacation essay. Here’s his report:

“My summer vacation travel took me as a first-time visitor to Kauai and Maui.  I used frequent-flier miles for my flight, so I bought a ticket for my nephew, Thomas, who lives in Texas; he just graduated high school so this was a celebratory adventure for him.  Douglas, a longtime friend of mine from Minnesota, also made the trip.  We spent five nights on Kauai, where we went hang gliding, hiked the Kalalau Trail, toured Waimea Canyon, snorkeled and more. It was a blast. There were also a number of absolute disasters that make for fun stories if you want to ask me about them. We then went to Maui for three more nights. The online slideshow includes about 30 pictures. Enjoy!”
