A few tickets available for Dodge College's Cecil Awards

A limited number of advance tickets for the 2010 Cecil Awards – the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts student film awards presented at the end of each academic year — will be available beginning today (Monday, May 10).   The awards show will take place on Friday, May 21.  It’s a fantastic event and after-party, so if you’re interested in what our film students are up to and in seeing their finest work, don’t miss out!

This year’s theme, “Celebrate the past. Create your future” is an inspiring motto for any student. The Cecil Awards, named in honor of director and film industry  legend Cecil B. DeMille, aim to celebrate past student and entertainment industry achievement, while paving the way for the endless opportunities ahead for alll our students. It is a night of recognition created by students to honor their peers at the Dodge College, and is a landmark event for many students as the culmination of their hard work.

   Tickets to the awards show and after-party are $30 each. All attendees, including nominees, must buy a ticket if they want to attend the show. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, the pre-show in Folino Theatre begins at 6 p.m., and the awards start at 7:00 PM. The after-party begins at 9:30 p.m.  and includes entertainment, desserts, beverages, and a cash bar for those who are 21 and over. After-party-only tickets are available for $15.

Advance tickets to the show and after-party are limited and will only be available until they are sold out. The remainder of the tickets will go on sale once all of the nominees have been announced.
