What should Happenings be?

Aha – now’s your chance to use that “POST COMMENT” button.

We’ve had some varying feedback about the new
Happenings
.  Some love the way we’ve been writing it, and are of the opinion that it’s valuable for
Haps
to list upcoming events — even when they reiterate and expand upon events you’ve already seen in the chancellor’s weekly emailed events calendar.  Some think we shouldn’t treat
Happenings
as another event listing, and should leave out events unless there is a new, unique angle — and only focus on exclusive content.

What do YOU think?  Should we perhaps fold the chancellor’s event calendar (which we write, by the way…) into
Happenings
?  Would that make
Haps
mostly an event listing, though?   Should we leave out events?  Should we only print something about events in
Haps
if there’s something new and interesting to say?  Should we print long posts written by members of the campus community, or only short blurbs?  Should we update posts during the week, or publish them all at once at the beginning of the week?  Let us know your opinions – as we said,
Happenings
is YOUR newsletter!  Hit the comment button above and let your opinion be known.
