2019: Elevated to R2 status for “high research activity”

Chapman is elevated to R2 status, for “high research activity.” The achievement augments Chapman’s overall rise nationally, as the university also enters the U.S. News national rankings, establishes a chapter in the nation’s most prestigious honor society (Phi Beta Kappa), and its Dodge College of Film and Media Arts climbs to No. 4 on The Wrap’s list of the top 50 film schools.
