In the spirit of preserving the Hawaiian culture and heritage, Chapman University’s Hawaii club, Pua’ikeana, is participating in the annual Hawaiian tradition of Aloha Week.
The cultural festivities got off to a great start last night in Davis Community Center where participants learned the hula dance, E Huli Makou. But if you missed out on hula lessons don’t worry! You have the rest of the week to join the Hawaii Club in plenty of fun events while learning about Hawaiian culture. Aloha Week activities are scheduled throughout the week. Make leis, take part in Makahiki (Olympic style) Games and watch a performance of Polynesian dance.
Check out the club’s Facebook page for more details.
