University Singers hit the road, but save the date for their return concert!

The University Singers may have just left for their Northern California tour, but it’s not too soon to save the date for their Post-Tour Concert on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Fish Interfaith Center. Tickets are $15 and available by calling 714-997-6624 or
online
.

Though their tour will be short, the University Singers will have a great time performing wherever they go—from Santa Cruz to Kensington to Sacramento.

Directed by Stephen Coker, DMA, associate professor in
Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music
, the group consists of 33 students, each of whom underwent selective auditions to be included.

While touring, the singers will perform pieces from the Renaissance works of Anerio and Monteverdi, Romantic compositions by Rheinberger and Brahms, contemporary pieces by American composers William Hawley, Richard Burchard and H. Garett Phillips, as well as folk selections from different parts of the world like Scotland, Cuba, France and the Philippines.

Make sure to catch them not only at the Fish Interfaith Center on Feb. 5, but also on the stage of the March 19 grand opening for the
Musco Center of the Arts
.
