We are excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 Provost’s Organizational Excellence Award—an initiative that champions collaborative efforts, enhance institutional effectiveness and advance strategic innovation at Chapman University.
This year, two exceptional proposals were selected for their forward-thinking approaches and measurable impact:
The Chapman University First Aid Team, led by Victor Arteaga and Mohamad Hijazi, was awarded $19,188.27 for their proposal “Critical Investment in Safety and Preparedness.” This initiative will expand access to essential EMS medical supplies and offer First Aid certification opportunities, strengthening Chapman’s emergency readiness and fostering a safer, more resilient campus community.
The team from the Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library, led by Anne Mellott, Heather Agnew, David Moody, and Philip Der Mugrdechian, was awarded $13,720 for their proposal focused on “Technology Updates in the Law Library.” The project will modernize library infrastructure through targeted technology enhancements, enriching the research and learning experience for students and faculty alike.
Congratulations to the recipients, and thank you to all teams who submitted proposals for your commitment to innovation and operational excellence across campus.
