Chapman University experts can weigh in on 2025 Academy Awards
Ahead of the 2025 Academy Awards this weekend, we want to highlight three experts at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, one of the top film schools in the country, who can weigh in on this year’s nominees, trends and surprises.
Stephen Galloway is the dean of the College and a former executive editor of The Hollywood Reporter. An Emmy Award-winning writer and producer, Galloway created THR’s celebrated Oscar Roundtables, along with the Netflix series “The Hollywood Masters,” which he hosted and executive-produced. With decades of experience profiling top talent and analyzing Hollywood trends, he can speak broadly about the movie industry, film finance, modern media and film history.
Joseph Rosenberg spent years working as a Hollywood agent representing A-list talent before joining Chapman as an associate professor and the inaugural Director of Industry Relations. He can share insights about the nominees, winners and what constitutes “success” in Hollywood.
Travis Knox is a successful producer (credits include “The Bucket List,” “Hairspray” and others) and an associate professor. The former executive vice president of motion picture production for Storyline Entertainment can discuss trends among this year’s nominees and winners.
