Helen Norris, Chapman University’s chief information officer and vice president for information systems and technology, has been awarded the 2025 EDUCAUSE Leadership Award, the organization’s highest honor.
“Helen Norris’ strong leadership has positioned Chapman for long-term success,” said President Daniele Struppa. “This award is a fitting recognition of her remarkable career and the lasting contributions she has made to the field of higher education technology.”
The award recognizes her extensive career in higher education technology, her exceptional leadership at Chapman and other institutions, and her dedication to professional development in the information systems community.
Since joining Chapman in 2014, Norris has transformed IS&T into a highly respected enterprise-level organization, modernized campus systems and infrastructure with cloud-based technologies, implemented a world-class security and helped lead the university’s artificial intelligence work. She will retire from Chapman on Sept. 1, 2025.
