Meredith Grant has joined Chapman University as senior associate general counsel, working alongside Senior Vice President and General Counsel Hima Vatti to provide legal guidance and strategic support on a wide range of matters important to the university.
In her role, Grant will provide legal support across Chapman’s campuses, assisting and advising campus academic and business partners on a wide range of issues that affect the university community, including employment law, student and faculty affairs, academic contracts and agreements, policy review and outreach.
Grant brings more than a decade of legal experience advising organizations, including educational institutions. Most recently, as senior corporate counsel and vice president at loanDepot, Meredith managed legal issues in California and nationwide. She has been recognized previously by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” for her work in employment litigation.
Grant is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She is also a native of Irvine, California, and serves the local community through the Assistance League of Orange and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Pro Bono Committee. Grant earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pepperdine University and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego.
