Retirement Announcement: Jim McInerney, Director of Project Management, Facilities Management A Message From Facilities Management

After 23 years of dedicated service, we are both happy and a bit sad to announce the upcoming retirement of Jim McInerney, Facility Management’s director of project management, effective June 2.

Jim has been an invaluable part of the Facilities Management‘s Construction team since 2012, contributing to the maintenance and improvements of the campus facilities.

Prior to Jim‘s time in Facilities, Jim worked under Campus Planning as a construction project manager during Chapman’s peak years of growth. Jim was actively involved in the construction of some of Chapman’s most iconic buildings. Those buildings include the Leatherby Libraries, Fish Interfaith Center, Oliphant Hall, Doti Hall, Anderson Athletics, Anderson Parking Structure, Glass Hall, Miller Parking Structure, Sandhu Residence Hall, and the seismic upgrades to Reeves, Roosevelt and Smith halls.

As a member of Facilities Management Construction team, Jim has overseen the renovation of Wilkinson Hall, Hilbert Museum and Sandi Simon Dance Center.

While we will greatly miss his presence and daily contributions, we are excited for him to enjoy this next chapter of well-earned rest, travel, hobbies and time with loved ones. While Jim has opted for a low-key farewell, we still want to extend our heartfelt congratulations on his retirement.
