Chapman University participated in the 45th annual Orange County Black History Parade in Anaheim last weekend, joining local organizations, schools and community groups in celebrating Black culture and history. The event, organized by the Orange County Heritage Council, featured a procession down Anaheim Blvd., with marching bands, dance groups and local leaders coming together to mark the start of Black History Month.
The parade was just one of several ways Chapman is recognizing Black History Month. Throughout February, the university is hosting a series of events aimed at celebrating Black culture, history and contributions. These free events provide opportunities for education, reflection and engagement for the campus community.
