President Struppa Announces Early Release for Commencement, May 17 at 3 p.m. A Message From President Daniele C. Struppa

In just a few days, we will be holding the University Commencement Ceremony and Commencement for our eleven schools and colleges. Given that these events are the most significant milestones of our academic year, we anticipate a record number of visitors as families and friends come together to celebrate the Class of 2024.

To ensure our guests have an exceptional Chapman experience and have no struggle finding parking for the various festivities, we are asking that staff members finish their workday by 3 p.m. on Friday, May 17. This is, of course, contingent on the approval of your direct supervisor.

While parking permits will not be required on campus or in the surrounding neighborhood this weekend (May 17-19), thanks to the City of Orange lifting the parking ban, we will still need every parking space available to accommodate our guests. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event for our graduates and their families. Please help us to make it the highlight of their academic endeavors.

As we close the year, please accept my deepest gratitude for all you do, every day, to make our students’ educational journey second to none. Your hard work and dedication to Chapman are appreciated. I look forward to celebrating your many important contributions at the Staff Summer Festival in July. Until then, take care.
