Chapman Panthers Crowned Southwestern Lacrosse Conference Champions

With their win over University of Arizona on Sunday, the Chapman Panthers were crowned the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) Champions. This is the second year in a row they won the SLC Championship and the team’s 8th overall win. What made this year extra special was that all four teams competing in the tournament were nationally ranked in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) top 25 poll. After this win, the Chapman Panthers now hold a record of 13-3, and earned an automatic qualifier to compete in the MCLA National Championships in Round Rock, Texas next week. The MCLA consists of nine non-varsity college lacrosse conferences featuring more than 150 teams across 42 states and two countries. The top 16 teams are invited to compete for the national championship. Chapman is seeded third. For more information, visit MCLA.us.
