The Orange County Business Journal named the 37th Annual Christmas at the Ritz as one of the top five fundraising luncheons in the county for 2023. The list was announced in the 2024 Charity Event Guide.
The Dec. 2 event, which was hosted by the Women of Chapman, was held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and featured a festive holiday luncheon and a lavish opportunity drawing for prizes donated by top Orange County boutiques, jewelers and vendors. Approximately $300,000 was raised to support multiple projects at Chapman University, including the Women of Chapman Student Hardship Assistance Fund, which provides flexible resources to help respond to the needs of individual students facing immediate and unexpected financial hardship.
For more than 50 years, Women of Chapman has given over $9 million in gifts to support Chapman University. Membership dues and gifts have been designated for student scholarships and various programs and capital campaigns across campus. Christmas at The Ritz is the group’s premier and sole fundraising event and has been an Orange County tradition since 1986.
