Emergency Drill Set for May 25

This Thursday, May 25, Chapman University Public Safety employees will partner with Orange Police Department to conduct a training drill and simulate a response to an emergency on campus at the Sandi Simon Center for Dance.

To create a more realistic drill, visual and audio effects such smoke and loud bangs and fire alarms will be used and Chapman Public Safety employees and the Orange Police Department will respond rapidly during this training exercise.

Participants will gather near the Sandi Simon Center for Dance as early as 7 a.m., and the first of two drills will start by 8 a.m. The event is expected to conclude by noon. We appreciate your understanding as we work with the city’s law enforcement to train and coordinate our responses at the university.
