Sharing Our Voices: Remembering Tyre Nichols

We’ve also had to endure the details of the death of Tyre Nichols being released, demonstrating to us that power unhinged, unchecked, and unbalanced breaks bones, breaks hearts, breaks families, and erodes the all too fragile ecosystems of the modern American city. We should not live in fear. We will not live in fear. The violence we experience is overpowering, so let us take opportunities to navigate through pain together.

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will create additional space to remember Tyre and to make our voices heard in opposition to police violence against the Black community

“Sharing Our Voices: Remembering Tyre Nichols” will be Thursday, Feb. 2, from 4:30 – 5 p.m., at the Wallace All Faiths Chapel in the Fish Interfaith Center.
