Chapman University Announces Faculty Tenure and Promotions

Sixteen faculty across Chapman University have been awarded tenure and/or promotion effective at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year. Congratulations to the following faculty for this extraordinary career milestone.

Tenure was announce for:

Charissa Threat, Ph.D., associate professor of history 

Tenure and promotion to rank of full professor was announced for:

John Benitz, MFA, associate professor of psychology 

Tenure and promotion to rank of associate professor was announced for:

Fadel Lawandy, MBA, clinical associate professor of finance and real estate; Kris De Pedro, Ph.D., associate professor of educational leadership; Julia Boehm, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology; Nicole Marquez, DPT, associate professor of physical therapy; Rachel Goldberg, MFA, associate professor of film and media arts; Sally Rubin, M.A., associate professor of documentary filmmaking; Russell Schwartz, B.A., associate professor of film and media arts; Sara LaBelle, Ph.D., associate professor of communication; Georgiana Bostean, Ph.D., associate professor of environmental science, health, and policy

Promotions were announced for:

Criselda Toto Pacioles, Ph.D., to instructional associate professor of mathematics; Lillian Were,  Ph.D., to full professor of food science; Jennifer Waldeck, Ph.D., to full professor of communication; Nancy Martin, Ph.D., to full professor of religious studies; Justine Van Meter, Ph.D., to instructional associate professor of history
