Pedal to campus and the dollars could add up, thanks to incentive program

Looking for a way to get more regular exercise into your life and dollars into your wallet?

Looking for a way to get more regular exercise into your life and dollars into your wallet? Then the new Chapman University Bike Voucher Program might be for you. Participants who meet the requirements of the program can earn a $350 voucher good at local bicycle shops for a bike purchase, repairs or equipment.

Want to add some style to your ride, too? A bike voucher could help with that.

“As we look for ways to get people out of their cars and using alternative transportation to come to campus, it made sense to design a program that also encourages our community members to engage in habits that lead to lifelong wellness. The bike voucher program does just that, it reduces the campus carbon footprint, it helps relieve the parking crunch, and it promotes a healthy lifestyle,” says Mackenzie H. Crigger, energy conservation and sustainability manager for Chapman.

Among the program requirements: Participants must relinquish their parking permit and sign the parking permit waiver for two consecutive years certifying that they will not bring a car to campus.

The vouchers are limited in number, so early application is the best chance for selection. Application information is available on the
Bike Voucher Program
web page.
