Chapman University has been selected to participate in a national initiative on civic learning and democratic engagement. Chapman has been named a Lead Institution by
NASPA
– Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, the leading voice for the student affairs profession.

In addition to participating in the larger project, Chapman is one of just nine universities which will take a leadership role with NASPA and serve as a Lead Consulting Institution (LCIs).  Serving as consultants will be Chris Hutchison, director of Student Engagement, and Justin Koppelman, assistant director of Student Engagement for Civic Engagement Initiatives.

LCIs will act as mentors, supports, and resources for other Lead Institutions.  For their work, LCIs will receive tailored and unique professional development experiences and publication and writing opportunities.
