Literary ‘PUB’ crawl to serve up insights for those thirsting to publish


Anyone thirsting to publish a book is welcome to join the fun at Chapman University’s Literary PUB(lishing) Crawl and Book Signing, hosted by Leatherby Libraries, the Department of English and the Creative Writing Program Wednesday, April 24, in the Bush Conference Center, Beckman Hall, 404.

This literary meet-and-greet gathering and book signing will feature Chapman University authors and novelists, as well as several guest writers, who will share their insights into the process of getting published. The author talks will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Stay for all or drop-in as your schedule allows. Book signing will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Among the guest speakers will be
New York Times
best-selling novelist Nancy Holder, author of the “Wicked,” “Crusade” and “Wolf Springs Chronicles” series. Other guests include Meghan Pinson, a Los-Angeles-based editor and entrepreneur who began My Two Cents Editing; Tony Barnstone, the Albert Upton Professor of English at Whittier College and the author of thirteen books; Michael Cassutt, a novelist and screen writer with
Twilight Zone
,
Outer Limits
and
Max Headroom
credits; and Bryce Carlson, managing editor at BOOM! Studios.

Chapman University faculty authors will include Mark Axelrod, Richard Bausch, James P. Blaylock, Ryan Gattis, Alicia Kozameh, Anna Leahy, Martin Nakell and Tom Zoellner. Also autographing books will be Chapman University Trustee David C. Henley, author of “Moscow to Beirut: Adventures of a Foreign Correspondent,” and Emeritus Trustee Jack Lindquist, author of “In Service to the Mouse: My Unexpected Journey to Becoming Disneyland’s First President.”
