Furry Friends for Finals bring stress-busting, tail-wagging fun to Attallah Piazza

The good people with Beach Animals Reading with Kids (BARK) and their canine companions returned to Chapman University today for “Furry Friends for Finals,” an event sponsored by Student Psychological Counseling Services and Active Minds.

The furry friends — all certified therapy dogs — make an appearance each fall semester in Attallah Piazza in the week before finals. Freshman economics major Shea Pitoy of Hilo, Hawaii, said the midday break was just the ticket.

“It’s fun to come and be with the dogs and not think about finals for 20 minutes,” Pitoy said.

We’re not sure what 20 minutes is in dog years, but the canine volunteers seemed pretty content to spend it among Panthers.
