The “Lin-sanity” excitement about
New York Knicks
’ star and
grad Jeremy Lin has swept the country and
reports that even President Obama is a fan.
But Chapman University is enjoying its own version of Lin-sanity, thanks to Panther point guard Brandon Lin, who’s been on a tear lately. His 31 points, which included making 5 of 6 three-point shots, helped lead Chapman to a 102-70 win over Pacifica College on Wednesday night.
The senior from Corona, Calif., has played big minutes for Chapman during each of its playoff runs the past two seasons. Coach Mike Bokosky says Lin’s leadership skills are a major asset.
“His leadership has been solid in practice,” says Bokosky, Chapman’s all-time winningest coach now in his 20th season. “Lin can be an interpreter for the younger guys because he’s heard me say the same things for four years.”
