Jan Osborn, Ph.D., assistant professor in Wilkinson College and the College of Educational Studies, was lucky enough to catch a
New York City Ballet
performance of the Nutcracker when Chapman University’s own Daniel Wachs was conducting.

Wachs, assistant professor, director of instrumental studies,
College of Performing Arts
, was invited to conduct the renowned ballet company in three performances
this month at Lincoln Center
. Dr. Osborn visited Wachs backstage to snap the above photo.

Wachs also has a new CD available featuring him in concert with other orchestras as both conductor and piano soloist. A link to request a copy is on his
website
