Eastman, Chemerinsky team up for Supreme Court preview

And if you’ve never witnessed the intellectual sparks that light up when John C. Eastman, professor and Donald P. Kennedy Chair in Law at
Chapman University School of Law
, and Erwin Chemerinsky, founding dean and professor of law at
UC Irvine’s Law School
, get together, then mark your calendar for Oct. 4.

That’s when the two legal scholars with opposite views on just about everything but their friendship will preview the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2010 term in a panel discussion that is part of an Orange County Bar Association program Monday, Oct. 4, at The Pacific Club, 4110 MacArthur Blvd., Newport Beach. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and program at 6 p.m.

The evening’s program also includes the awarding of the first David G. Sills Award for Appellate Excellence to the
Honorable David Sills
, who celebrates 20 years as presiding justice of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three, in Santa Ana. Registration information is available at the
