The Street Fair opens tonight.

What’s going on in Old Towne Orange this weekend? Hmm. Oh, yes. A little something called the Orange International Street Fair. If you’ve been, you know what’s in store. If you’re a newcomer to the annual Labor Day weekend event, grab the sunscreen and bring an appetite for a big foodapalooza gathering that leaves us thinking grilled sausage, not bread, is the world’s unifying food. Lots of music and shopping, too. Check out the fair’s
Facebook page
for details and be sure to visit the Chapman University booth and say hi to the volunteers staffing it.

Speaking of Labor Day traditions, we wrote earlier this week about a
special Chapman announcement
we’re all looking forward to during the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We just wanted to point out a nice story about Mr. Lewis, a long-time Chapman friend and supporter, in today’s
Los Angeles Times
.

Got friends? We do.
Chapman University’s Official Facebook
page crossed the 3,000 mark this week. If you’ve “friended” us, thanks! And spread the word. The more the merrier and it’s a great way to quickly share lots of interesting news about Chapman University.

Speaking of social networking, Susan Paterno, professor, Department of English, Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences, launched a new
Facebook page
for graduates, current students and friends of Chapman University’s Journalism Program to connect and network. Check it out!
