Walk this way

Several Chapman University parents will participate in an upcoming performance art exhibit that will literally take to the streets of Los Angeles.

The public performance component of the “Art is me, Art is you” exhibit will be performed from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the Korean Cultural Center. Artists whose work is included in the cultural center’s gallery exhibit will affix their art to their bodies and walk through the nearby community. Exhibit curator is Chapman parent Yikwon Peter Kim, who is also an exhibit specialist at the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

Chapman students include: film alumnus Adam Richman, (’09), who will produce a documentary about the event; Emmeline Kim, a sophomore screenwriting major, who will film and edit the documentary; Mike Parviz, sophomore double major in English and Peace Studies whose band will provide music for the art walk closing party; and sophomore Dev Tejwani , a business major, who will join curator Kim, father of Emmeline Kim, for the art walk.

The Korean Cultural Center is located at 5505 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.
