PRSSA students and the Chapman Alumni Association staged a glitzy benefit called Red Carpet/Black Tie on Sunday, March 7  at Mation Knott Studios during the broadcast of the Oscars. The crowd of more than 250 included students, alumni, faculty, City of Orange dignitaries and community members. Central to the evening was the viewing of a Dodge College student commercial contest where the crowd voted on their favorite 30-second spot about Komforte Chockolates, the evening’s title sponsor. Out of three finalists, the effort put forth by Kellen Moore was voted as best, and was later unanimously approved by the committee’s judging panel. Kellen took home the $1,000 prize.  When asked about the students’ entries, a Komforte Chockolates representative stated, “We were blown away by the creativity and craftsmanship the students displayed.  Kellen’s work was great and did a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of our brand.  All of the finalists are a talented group of filmmakers and we’re happy to have been a part of this event with Chapman.” Look  forward to next year’s 2nd Annual Red Carpet/ Black Tie event!
