TONIGHT: Superpower Illusions

Tonight at 7 p.m. in the Bush Conference Center, Beckman Hall 404,  former U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union Jack F. Matlock Jr. gives a talk entitled “Superpower Illusions: How Myths and Ideologies Led America Astray, and How to Return to Reality.”  In it he will demolish myths that have distorted America’s recent foreign policy, including the idea that the U.S. destroyed Communism and defeated the Soviet Union in the Cold War.  He also will make bold recommendations for the Obama administration.  A book signing will follow the lecture.  Admission is free.  For information call 714-628-2767.
